Further information about The Old Railway Cottage

We hope these pictures and info give you an idea of what our cottage is like. Please feel free to contact if we can help in any other way.We used to live in it and loved every minute we spent here. We will do everything we can to ensure that our guests feel the same!

The Kitchen. This is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. We have also tried to think of the small details which are so important when one is away from home. There will be milk in the fridge and a loaf of locally baked bread. Also there will be a complimentary bottle of wine to help guests unwind after their journey!

The Sitting Room and Dining area.This is tastefully furnished enabling guests to relax or enjoy a meal. There is a TV, DVD player and a growing collection of DVDs. Books and information on the local area are also provided.

A cosy log burner and electric storage heaters provide heat in the colder months. Additional electric heaters are available throughout the year. Heating and electricity is included in the price.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a toilet/shower room. Towels and linen are provided and electric blankets are available when needed!

Outside there is a small courtyard and a carport to the side of the cottage.

Guests also have the use of a delightful nearby community area known as "The Glade".

The hamlet of Penstone is located in the heart of the Mid Devon countryside. It is wonderfully peaceful, yet ideally situated for visiting all parts of Devon and beyond.
